Spear Maiden : With Harrison Butler Overtones
Myriam Spicka, owner of the Harrison Butler influenced Mowa, has reported that a boat called Spear Maiden is frequently seen sailing in the area around her home port of Lübeck in Germany. She wondered if it was built to a Harrison Butler design. From certain angles, as the following photograph shows, she has the Harrison Butler hull profile;

However, Myriam recently came across the boat in a marina, and her stern shot shows that from other angles, Spear Maiden is less like a Harrison Butler designed boat.

From the Lloyd's registers we now know Spear Maiden was built by Harry Feltham and registered in 1952. That there are similarities is not a surprise for Harry built several boats to Harrison Bulter designs such as Caracole and Destina in 1933, the mysterious Sea Falconet in 1938, and Thalia in 1939.
Spear Maiden is currently For Sale, August 2019.
