Destina In Good Hands
May 2014 : Mark Tomson writes;
"We bought Destina from Roger Harrison 10 years ago. She spends much of her time cruising in the Solent, often seen with her play mates Sabrina and Little Kingfisher. She travelled to France a few years ago and, more recently, to the west country where we may well end up again this summer. She had a major overhaul over the winter. She has a fridge as well as new standing rigging and new electrics". The photo, sent in by Mark, was taken August 2013.
Destina's original name was Pheobe, changed in 1948.
I met Roger Harrison in Suffolk Yacht Harbour, August 2013 when my boat, Tramontana, called in for a few nights with engine trouble. Roger had very warm memories of Destina. Roger now owns Shantih, a stunningly graceful Phillip Rhodes Design sloop which he keeps on the River Deben.
