Mowa

The Baltic Sea Waterbug
Myriam Spicka has been in touch with a photograph and news about Mowa, one of the sixteen Waterbugs designed and built by JW & A Upham at their boat yard in Brixham, South Devon. Myriam, who owns Mowa, writes; “Although Mowa is a small yacht, she's really seaworthy and, when she's got enough wind, fast enough and sufficiently spacious for long cruises - I enjoy sailing this ship”.
Mowa has been well cared for over her lifespan, with a steady investment of time and effort keeping her in reasonable condition.

MoWA, in this case, does not stand for Minister of Woman Affairs ! Mowa or Moa is a long extinct Maori bird.
