Brave Heart : For Sale, May 2020
A couple of years ago, in May 2018, I was asked to track down as many of Alan Buchanan's steel hulled boats built to his Brabant design as I could. I found six; Facet, Pipedream, Vuilbaard, Roosevaer, Halve Maen and Suri. David Pemberton has kindly emailed me to say that he has spotted a seventh, Brave Heart, currently up for sale in Dumbarton in Scotland. He was rather taken with one of the comments in the sales particulars; “The only known defects are the crew - they are in their nineties!” Originally called Clapper, in 1975 she was renamed Brave Heart.
