| | White Wings II : Being Sold To Pay Yard Fees
I've just been told (June 2018) that White Wings II is being sold to pay for outstanding storage debts. She's on the hard at Cobbs Quay, Poole, England. Looking somewhat weathered, she is being sold at a bargain price.
White Wings II : An Insurance Write Off, Restored
Before being sold c2015, her owner wrote; “We brought White Wings II in 1999 as an insurance write off. She was about to be broken up after a gas explosion on board her in Yarmouth harbour, on the Isle of Wight. After three long years putting her back together she has repaid our efforts ten fold; she's a pretty, practical and safe little yacht. We've spent many days and nights aboard her cruising over a thousand miles around the Solent and the South coast and criss-crossing the English Channel. She sails well and can easily be singled handed. She performs competently in heavy conditions and has never given me cause for concern. Like all long keeled yachts she is not fast to turn, but is balanced and will look after herself once set up”.
