Sail Plan

A Work of Art
This small yawl, with a waterline length of just 20 feet, has an enthusiastic following of admirers. Ian Oughtred for example, in his book A life in Wooden Boats places it in his 'top ten'.

In spite of this, Shulah is the only build to Albert Strange's Norma design. She was lost in a gale in the Menai Strait in 1941. Howard Sharp, frustrated at not having the resources to commence a 'new build' in 2008, opted instead to build a half model. In a similar vein, there is a YouTube video of a Radio Controlled model of this design sailing on a boat pond.
