Shona : The Gem Of Whitehaven
I called in at Whitehaven, July 2017, for 24 hours. To my delight, this utterly charming Canoe Yawl was in the marina there, and I did think she looked very much in the style of an Albert Strange designed craft. She was up for sale and, indeed, described as being built in 1914 to the lines of an Albert Strange design. She's now under offer; a piece of living boating history for some lucky sailor. I'd love to know more about her. Incidentally, she's already lost her original name, Outis, by 1923, the earliest Lloyd's Register in my collection.
