Rowan IV : Tom Cunliffe Pays A Visit
Rowan IV's new owner is Phil Birkett. In March 2018 he posted a request on FaceBook asking for help and advice on setting up the running rigging on his much admired and well looked after classic yacht, based on the traditional lines of the Loch Fyne Skiff. Well, he's just had a visit from a leading authority on the matter. He writes, “It has been a pleasure today to have the great Tom Cunliffe onboard Rowen IV for some rig adjustments and digging into his vast knowledge”. Nice one, Phil !

More About Rowan IV
Details of the Rowan IV, placed by previous owner Robin Drysdale remain on the OGA website and are difficult the better, although I have contributed to the information readily to hand by looking up the names of previous owners, and locating a photograph of the attractive book, Leaves From Rowan's Logs, written by Dr RB Carslaw. It details some of her earliest adventures in Scottish waters. Copies of the book rarely sell for less than £45.
