Powder Monkey : Major Work Undertaken in 2017
Powder Monkey, built to Alan Buchanan's Yeoman Junior design, became particularly well known as the boat owned by Yachting Monthly editor Dick Durham. As such, several articles are to be found about her in that periodical. More recently, Mark Bridges has taken on the brave job of giving her a full restoration in Aldeburgh, Suffolk. He writes, "She was structurally sound, but required work to strengthen the ribs resulting in the necessity to completely strip out the interior. However, this will result, down below, in a new boat". It's hoped that Powder Monkey will take to the water once again in 2018.
