Pasiphae : A Racing Hillyard
A previous owner of Pasiphae wrote in 2004, “Since 1990 we have cruised Pasiphae extensively for up to 6 months at a time to Orkney, Fair Isle, Shetland; Inner and Outer Hebrides including St Kilda; all around Great Britain including the Scilly Isles; all around Ireland; Holland, Belgium; French coast as far as La Rochelle; Bay of Biscay and Atlantic Spain and Portugal to Lisbon; Scandinavia from Bergen to Stockholm; Finland and most of Denmark. In 2004 we sailed from Stockholm via the Kiel Canal and North Sea to Littlehampton”.
The photograph below captures her most recent owners taking part in the Round The Island Race in 2015, whilst the picture above shows her being spruced up earlier this year, being made ready to sell. The Wooden Ships brokerage in Devon is handling the sale, July 2019.
Originally named The Betsy Jean, she became Pasiphae in 1971.
