Naiad photographed in 2013 by Gordon Garman
Naiad : Well known Scottish based HB
For over 40 years Naiad has been associated with Neal Hill, often being seen out and about on the waters around Oban on the West coast of Scotland. Neal was fully involved with the RYA the OGA and the HBA until his untimely death in March 2019. He kept Naiad in beautiful condition. He would be pleased to know that his boat immediately aquired a new custodian, Rob Ferguson, after only a few week on The Classic Yacht Brokerage website. Under Rob's care, Naiad continues to be a much admired classic boat. So much so that Bert Oosterbroek has spent a year producing a model of Harrison Butler's Englyn 26 design of which Naiad is an example. The model boat, revealed earlier this year, is called Flappy.
