Before Restoration

Astonishing Restoration Revealed, September 2018
The above photograph of Mist, taken in 2006, shows an abandoned vessel in a very sorry state. Although she still retained her shape, it took skilled shipwright John Krejsa nine years to restore this craft as a retirement project. She was relaunched in 2017 but the results were properly on display for the first time as a part of the Albert Strange Association Meet on the Riven Deben, 1st and 2nd of September 2018. The full story of Mist being found and rescued is on the Albert Strange Association website, linked to below. Sadly, just a month after the River Deben Meet, John Krejsa died. The ASA is taking an active roll in looking after Mist by way of preserving John's remarkable achievement in restoring her.
