Lalerne

Lalerne : Restoration Project, £2200, Liverpool
Lalerne is one of the few Teal One Design boats still in existence, albeit in need of restorative work. She's on the hard in Liverpool and is being offered as a project by Coburg Yacht Brokers. The Teal OD was one of the later designs of AR Luke and was immediately much admired due to multiple successes in racing on the South Coast. Originally called Tiger, by 1947 she had been renamed Lalerne.
Incidentely, Luke Brothers built the Albert Strange designed Moth II in 1912.
I know of seven sister ships; Antoinette (ex Britt) 1936, Content 1936, Galene (ex Thora) 1937, Phakoe 1948, Teal 1935, Topaz 1936, and Zest 1937. Of these, Antoinette is in good condition, Phakoe is in the Netherlands, and Galene underwent a full rebuild at Gweek Quay in Cornwall in 2010.
