Kasuje III : Rescued from the Scrapyard
In 2010, Stephen Rodwell rescued Kasuje III from a scrapyard on the Clyde were she had been abandoned, taking her home to his garden for restoration. She was relaunched in 2011 in time to participate in, and complete, that year's Three Peaks Yacht Race. In 2013, a terminally ill Lori Murdock used her to begin a circumnavigation on the UK in which £10,000 was raised for cancer charities. More recently, Kasuje III has been raced in the Mediteranean. I first came across this boat as Stephen sold her in August 2019. I suspect she's a known boat, renamed. For a while thought she may be Namoey, until discovering that boat sunk in 1976 ! The search is not helped by several sources stating Kasuje III was built in 1953.
