| | Juliane : Circumnavigating The Globe
Andi Hürzeler has emailed from east coast of Australia to say that he and his girlfriend are circumnavigating the globe aboard their 42 foot Alan Buchanan designed steel built boat, Juliane. Their progress is described in detail in their blog.
Juliane is one of about twelve boats built to the Albatross design. Like the boats built to the Brabant design, the Albatross hulls were built in the Netherlands, then shipped to the UK for fitting out. Juliane is not in the Lloyd's registers.
Other boats built to the Albatross design include Repete II (ex Zepardy, ex Ceol Mara), Burong Chamar III, Tropic Moon (ex Miskin), Amazone of Hamble (ex Gay Gallivanter), Disalagraptus, and Northern Magic (ex Tarwathie) .
