Iris : A Few Work In Progress
Iris is one of sixteen boats built to the Gareloch One design between 1924 and 1928. Almost unbelievably, all sixteen are still around and those afloat annually race each other. Iris has been out of the water for a couple of years needing work, which is being attended to by her enthusiastic owners. The full list of boats is Galatea, Athene, Dione, Ceres, Halcyone, Thalia, Iris, Hermes, Thia, Zoe, Luna (ex Spray), Zephyrus (ex Cockelroy), Catriona (ex Fintra), Circe (ex Jean), Teal (ex Rosemary II) and Juno.
