Gwennili : Belgium Puzzle
Gwennili is based in Nieuwpoort, Belgium and it would seem that she took part in the Classic Channel race in 2013. Apparently built in Lymington in 1967 it was suggested to me that she was built by Berthon Boats, but from their build registers this seems unlikely. In fact 1967 saw few boats built to Buchanan's designs and none that I know of in Lymington. All of which makes placing Gwennili a puzzle. If any reader can help, please get in touch; perhaps Gwennili is not her original name. Incidentally, her name is spelt incorrectly on the Buchanan Owners website as Gwenilli.
In the April 2016 edition of the French yachting magazine Yachting Sud, four pages feature a voyage by Gwennili to the Islands of Denmark. The article is in French with excellent photographs. A PDF of the article is available (See the links section below).
