Greylag to explore the Adriatic
This photograph, taken January 2018, shows Greylag under sail in the Mediterranean where, as you may have spotted from the ensign, she's based in Italy. Previously a well known boat in the waters of the Solent, Greylag moved to Italy in 2014. Another super photograph of Greylag (below) was taken in early June 2015 by Paul Leinthall-Cowman. He told me that “It was taken in a quiet little boatyard just off the lagoon near the Venice Lido”.
I've looked up Greylag in my collection of Lloyd's registers: She's previously been owned by Doctors, a Major and a Colonel. Originally called Solo, by 1947 she'd been renamed Greylag. She's in very good condition, not least thanks to a major refit at the Universal Boatyard in Hamble during 2006 and 2007.
