Waterbug One Design by JW & A Upham

Grakle
Grakle was the 1931 Grand National winner.
A winning bet is where the money to build Grakle came from.

Twenty year refit for Uphams built Waterbug
Paul and Vanessa Martin have been in touch to say that Grakle is in their back garden !
They write, “We purchased her over 20 years ago when our children were all quite young with the intention of using her as a family sailer. Well, that never happened. However, I am pleased to report that she is now nearly ready to set sail again, having had a 20 year refit”.
Paul and Vanessa assure me that they will send in an update when Grakle is relaunched and, hopefully, a photograph too.
