Eel : Historically important, For Sale, £17,000 (August 2018)
Built in 1897, Eel is one of the oldest boats on this website. She was designed by George Holmes, a friend and associate of Albert Strange and was a particularly influential boat that resulted in many articles and books, thus establishing the Canoe-Yawl as a valid type of craft in which to go adventuring, especially creek crawling.
She is currently for sale (August 2018) with the BoatShed brokerage. For another surviving Canoe Yawl designed by George Holmes, see Snippet.
