Diana Gets A New Lease of Life
The photograph above has been sent in by Kate Jennings & Allen Clarke, Diana's enthusiastic new owners. They've started as they mean to go on by sorting out several issues with her woodwork and engine prior to sailing her away from her home for many years in Chichester Harbour and to her new mooring in Dartmouth. An article about Kate and Allen's new ownership will appear in the Autumn 2015 edition of The HBA Journal.
I've met a couple of Diana's previous owners. Firstly, Greg Skelton introduced himself to me in Milford Haven Marina, August 2014. He's currently involved with the TeamSurv project. Aboard his boat, Nan of Kames, showed me a charming video of Diana and has many photographs. I'm hoping he'll send me these in due course. Secondly, my first HBA AGM was chaired by the late Patrick Gibson who owned Diana, not once, but twice. The current Charman, John-Henry Bowden, pays tribute to Patrick in his Chairman's Letter of February 2015
