| | Capella of Kent : One of several Buchanans built by Bill Sutton
On a visit to Whitehaven, Summer 2017, I was delighted to come across Capella of Kent with her previuosly sky-blue coloured hull painted white. She has the look of a fast and capable yacht, but her current owner, unfortunately, has been unable to make much use of her due to ill health. Planked in teak she remains a desirable boat, in need of cosmetic attention. When I saw her she was up for sale but I am delighted to report that she's now (April 2018) sale pending.
Sutton & Wiggins built a number boats to Alan Buchanan's designs including Vae Victis, Vendra, Bonnet Rouge, Capella of Burnham, Cavalier of Kent, Dauber and Scorpion of Wyke.
